He symbolizes a strong religion, one of service to God and to others. He is also a warrior, who does not back down in the face of Evil. His name means ‘who is like God?’ and he stands in opposition to all movements and powers which set themselves up as rivals to the Holy Trinity. St. Michael is also patron saint of policemen, firemen, soldiers and all those who place their lives and futures, between Evil and the innocent. Many of our former Michaelites have grown up to take their place in the ranks of those who 'protect and serve". Others have filled leadership roles in their local churches, all in the knowledge that they are carrying on a great tradition under the Protection of God and His Angels.
